About Nicole Horne, LMFT

Hello, my name is Nicole. My primary goal is to support you in leading a more fulfilled, resilient, and meaningful life. I appreciate your interest in my practice and am honored to share my professional background with you. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from La Sierra University and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #78932) in the state of California. With over 20 years of experience in the helping professions, my work reflects sustained clinical involvement across community care, psychotherapy, and complex systems of care. Since founding Facetyme Therapy in 2014, I have maintained a private practice supporting individuals, couples, and families through a wide range of emotional and life challenges. Over time, my clinical focus has expanded to include work within forensic and medically complex environments, allowing me to develop experience at the intersection of mental health, legal, medical, and other high-stakes professional systems. My clinical experience includes working with adults and children on concerns such as anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, and post-traumatic stress. Throughout my career, I have conducted diagnostic assessments, facilitated treatment planning, and provided therapy tailored to each client’s unique needs. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and family systems–informed, strengths-based clinical support. Treatment is individualized, with an emphasis on regulation, insight, and practical strategies that support meaningful and lasting change. I am committed to creating a safe, compassionate, and professional environment where clients can reflect, regulate, build resilience, and navigate meaningful change.

Philosophy & Approach

At the heart of my practice is a whole-person approach to mental health. I work from the understanding that our emotional well-being is shaped by the interaction of mind, body, personal history, and the environments we move through.

Whether someone is navigating personal stress, a significant life transition, an important medical decision, or a legal matter, these experiences do not occur in isolation. They affect the whole person. My approach is holistic, individualized, and grounded in the understanding that mental health is inseparable from the circumstances and systems impacting one’s life.

• Legal Consulting & Forensic Support

Legal matters can profoundly impact mental health. If you or your client is navigating a legal case, I provide therapeutic assessment and support aimed at stabilizing functioning, reducing anxiety, and supporting clarity during high-stress situations.

• Cosmetic Surgery Consulting

Cosmetic decisions are deeply personal and can carry both emotional and psychological considerations. I provide supportive, nonjudgmental space for individuals to explore motivations, expectations, and emotional readiness prior to a procedure, as well as support during post-procedure adjustment.

My role is to help clients feel grounded, informed, and emotionally supported, ensuring mental health care complements medical care and supports overall well-being throughout the decision-making and recovery process.

• Anxiety, Trauma, & Mood Care

Whether related to past experiences, current stressors, or major life changes, anxiety and trauma can impair daily functioning. My approach to treatment is designed to help stabilize symptoms, restore resilience, and reconnect individuals to a sense of inner balance.

What You Can Expect

No matter what brings you here, the goal is the same: to treat the whole person. My extensive experience in mental health allows me to meet you where you are, whether you are navigating personal, familial, professional, medical, legal, or life-transition stressors, and to guide you toward stabilization, clarity, and growth.

This is a space where your needs are addressed with compassion, evidence-based care, and a commitment to your long-term well-being.
